ZooLab: Interactive Animal Encounters
On 1 November, Zoolab is coming to Compton Verney with their menagerie of mammals, insects, amphibians and arachnids! Guided by an expert ZooLab Ranger, you’ll get up close and hands on with the real live creatures and learn about their, habitats, favourite food and special tricks. Explore the Grounds
Imagine running through the meadow on West Lawn before delighting your senses in our new Sensory Dye Garden. You can also visit the Adventure Playground in our woodland, Bird Hide, Ice House, Pond Dipping and Morag Myerscough’s The Village installation before even stepping inside the house at Compton Verney. Get a final glimpse of ‘The Village’ installation by Morag Myerscough before it closes on the 6 November 2023!
Artmakers Holiday Camp
Join us for 1 or 2 days of creative making and play at Artmakers Holiday Camp! This drop-off holiday club is for children aged 8-11 years old and includes a range of exciting team games, fun challenges and creative experimenting with materials; from clay to mushrooms and ink! Why don’t you come and visit the Discovery Room in the heart of our art galleries? Play and explore with the large range of open-ended resources, activities and games that link to our permanent collections and exhibitions!
Get Mucky, Get Making
From 10:30am-12:30pm on 2 November, join our amazing Learning Leaders and Volunteers in the historic woodland. We will roll together the imagination of the art gallery and the wildness of the woodland, whisking, mixing and pouring into a range of resources designed to encourage creative play in children.
Best suited for toddlers- 5 year olds.

After Hours
End the week with an evening of family-friendly silent disco in our art galleries plus a range of exciting acts and performances as part of After Hours on 3 November. From 6-9pm, enjoy Compton Verney at night when the historic house and grounds are normally closed. Sitting between All Souls Day and Bonfire Night, this event explores stories of materials and how we use them to develop ritual, connecting to each other and remembering our loved ones. Think lantern processions, celebratory rhythms and world music, archaeological finds and acts of care and memorial. Book your place now via the button below to avoid disappointment.
