Join us for a summer evening of entertainment that is bursting with colour and sound. Explore Compton Verney’s landscape and house like you’ve never seen them before. An immersive and highly sensory experience not to be missed.
Colourscape is brought to Compton Verney by Eye Music Trust. Giant, walk-in structures filled with colour and light. Originally created by artist Peter Jones in the early 70s you are invited to explore the many interconnected chambers. The intensity and subtlety of the colours will transport you away to a new reality . See translucent red, blue, green, yellow and opaque grey, all coming together to create mixtures of colours that you may not be able to name. Musicians perform throughout the chambers, responding to what they see and how the environment changes and evolves.
For art lovers, there’s a wonderful chance to meet Internationally known artist and current judge on Sky Arts ‘Designer of the Year’, Morag Myerscough, as she writes poetry created from Warwickshire Young carers groups onto the inside of her brand-new sculptural commission at Compton Verney.
Joining artists David Batchelor, Morag Myerscough and our own team who’ll be suggesting music playlists for a Silent Disco around the house and grounds. There will even be a dedicated dance room in the house. Or be taken on an audio experience on the lake, with Luke Jerram: Crossings.
Celebrating Sanctuary will be returning and providing us with several vibrant musicians who will be performing across the site.
