This still life shows one of Marx and Lambert’s mugs illustrating silhouettes of trees in a ‘spitpattern’ design. The mug is being used as a vase for the flowers. The mug is in the Marx-Lambert Collection. Marx often juxtaposed unusual combinations in her still-life compositions.
