Discover the extraordinary versatility and imagination of Enid Marx with writer and design historian Alan Powers, author of the definitive account of her life and career.

From hand-blocked fabrics and industrial textiles to book illustration, stamps and laminates, pattern ran throughout Marx’s work. Alan will explore the influences she absorbed from cultures across the world, the many materials and techniques she worked with, and her distinctive ability to bring together modernity and tradition.

A fascinating opportunity to delve deeper into the work of one of Britain’s most distinctive 20th-century artists and designers, alongside the major exhibition of her work The Pattern of Life:
Enid Marx and Modern British Design.
