Road closures in Kineton mean there is no through route to Compton Verney from that direction. Please approach us via the Fosse Way.

Heritage Open Days: Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September. Advance booking is now sold out and we anticipate being very busy on both days. You’re still welcome to turn up on the day, but parking is limited and entry cannot be guaranteed if the car park is full. Please car share or visit later in the day where possible.

Charcoal Drawing Masterclass
with Artist Nancy Cadogan

Saturday 17 October 2026
10.30am – 1pm

Discover The Lost Trees through a personal introduction with artist Nancy Cadogan, as the paintings invite you to slow down, feel the shelter of a favourite oak, and reconnect with your own thoughts and memories.

After the tour, join Nancy in the studio for a charcoal masterclass, a medium that lends itself beautifully to the texture and stillness of trees, whether bare-branched in winter or heavy with summer leaf. You’ll explore building form and shadow with charcoal, working from smudge to sharp line to bring bark, branch and canopy to life.

If you have a memory of a favourite tree, maybe one felled, one climbed, one you still return to, bring along an image and Nancy will help you turn that connection into something on paper. If you’ve yet to find inspiration, choose a tree from Compton Verney’s grounds.
