Please note that we are still open to visitors on this day, however there will be a rolling road block in the morning, and the site may be busier than usual due to this event so please allow yourself more time to travel.

Glazed pottery vessels such as this were known as erbei (eared cups) because of their shape, and were commonly found in Han dynasty tombs, often in sets. Besides pottery and lacquer versions, these cups were also made in more precious materials, such as bronze, quartz, jade and gold.
