Traditional Greenwood Stool Making
Two day workshop
Saturday 31 January and Sunday 1 FebruaryOn this two-day course you will learn how to create a greenwood stool on a traditional pole lathe.
Create your own handcrafted stool from freshly felled timber using traditional tools and a pole lathe. Learn techniques like cleaving, axing, and drawknife shaping, and dish a seat using travishers.
This two-day workshop is a brilliant hands-on introduction to heritage woodcraft, with expert guidance from Peter Wood expert woodworker, founder of Greenwood Days and who was advisor to Channel 4’s Handmade: Britain’s Best Woodworker.
