The Gift Fair is taking place this weekend from Fri 5 – Sun 7 Dec.

To manage capacity, all visitors, including members and those who are not coming to the fair itself, are required to prebook
If you would like to visit The Gift Fair (visitors and members) tickets can be booked here, including gallery upgrades to see the exhibitions and grounds as well as the fair (members do not need to purchase upgrade)
If you are just wishing to visit the grounds and exhibitions please buy general admission tickets

Whilst the fair is on, our ground floor galleries, which includes our Naples, Northern European, Portraits and Miniatures, and The Women’s Library, as well as the Modern Masterpieces display, will be open for the fair only.
The Shelter of Stories, Commodities, Chinese and Folk Art collections, and the parkland are still available to visit.

We recommend car sharing where possible to help with the capacity of the car park.

Workshops

The Power of Clay:
A Renee So inspired pottery workshop

Slow down and learn the mindful art of hand-building pots inspired by Commodities: Sculpture and Ceramics by Renee So.

You’ll go on an exclusive tour of the exhibition where Curator Jane Simpkiss will highlight So’s most playful works, followed by a sketching session in the exhibition to find inspiration for your vase, vessel or plant pot.

You’ll then be taught how to pinch, coil, slab and sculpt clay into a form of your own design by our clay expert Jon, the Flying Potter, from Eastnor Pottery.

At the end of the course, you can take your pottery masterpiece home to airdry and paint, or you can choose to have them fired for an extra fee payable on the day.

No previous experience of working with clay is necessary as you’ll be given all the tools, materials and guidance on the day.

This is a full day workshop; 10.30am – 3.30pm

If you’d like to have your creation fired you can choose to pay an extra £30 on the day.

No previous experience of working with clay is necessary and all tools and equipment will be provided by the course leaders.

Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy for this workshop.
