THE DISCOVERY ROOM
Nestled among our mesmerising art galleries and temporary exhibitions, the Discovery Room is open for families with young children. Full of open-ended resources that are regularly refreshed to link to our current exhibitions, it is a place to make, draw, dress-up, play and explore.

my activity book
Pick up My Activity Book from the Welcome Centre when you arrive at Compton Verney and follow playful invitations around our grounds and galleries, moving, playing, drawing and discovering.
You’ll work together to find dragons, create your own imaginary creature and design your own sculpture along the way. Don’t forget to collect your reward when you’re finished!

ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND
After you have explored our grounds including the willow tunnels, bird hide and pond dipping area, make your way to the majestic Wellingtonia Avenue and through the trees and woodland you will find an exciting adventure playground. A perfect final or starting point to your Compton Verney adventure.

DISCOVERY BAGS
At the entrance to our art galleries, you will find a unit filled with exciting bags and activities that are updated throughout the year. Each contains a selection of resources and activities centred around a theme, from a Colour Hunt to Hidden Treasure! These activities will allow kids of all ages to engage with the collections in fun and exciting ways.
