The 12 Days of Christmas at Compton Verney

On the first day of Christmas Compton Verney sent to me… a chance to appear on our House!

Christmas would not be complete without the Twelve Days of Christmas but Compton Verney want to add a fresh, artistic edge. We need artists to design the covering for one of the twelve windows on the ground floor of the mansion house. These will be displayed throughout December and until epiphany, prominently placed to create a striking moment as you approach the house and view your own artwork from the end of the driveway.

Selected works must bring joy to the beholder, so think bright, fun and beautiful at this festive time of year.

Competition Information:

• If selected your design will be displayed on an outside window of the house
• It will be displayed throughout our Christmas period
• We will require the designs to fit 1400mm x 1625mm (this is the largest window, the others are mm’s different)
• If selected you will need provide your design as a large jpeg file with at least 300dpi – for submission purposes the file can be of a lesser resolution but must be able to fulfil this criteria to be printed.
• Closing date is 28 October 2022 at 11:59pm.

Terms & Conditions

By submitting your application you are giving Compton Verney permission to print your submitted work and display on the outside windows of the mansion house as part of our Christmas offer. The design remains the intellectual property of the artist but by submitting it into this competition you are agreeing to allow Compton Verney to use of the design and images, whether original or within a marketing image for promotion of Compton Verney at any time, royalty free. The artist will be fully credited as the author of the work.

If selected your image may be used for marketing purposes, for Compton Verney including but not limited to social media content and printed material.

We will add a border to your artwork as part of our Christmas trail.

This competition has no financial pay-out for chosen artists.
