Put a spooky spin on your wedding day with sculpture

Choosing an art gallery as the location of your wedding means that you’re guaranteed to have a unique and exciting backdrop to your big day. But only at Compton Verney will couples be able to exchange vows and celebrate surrounded by internationally acclaimed art in our upcoming sculpture park.

From March 2024, our grounds will host the work of world-renowned sculptors including Louise Bourgeois; one of the great figures of modern and contemporary art. Best-known for large-scale sculptures and installations, Bourgeois’ ‘Maman’, a spider made of bronze, stainless steel, and marble, and measuring over 30ft high, will feature between the house and the lake.

Bourgeois’ legendary status and international renown makes this addition to the grounds the perfect destination for anyone looking to wow their family and friends with a special spin to their big day. Elsewhere across the site, guests can explore the work of Turner Prize-nominated British artist Helen Chadwick, and leading UK-based and international artists, including Sarah Lucas, Permindar Kaur, and Augustus Serapinas.

Moving inside, our galleries are permanent hosts to one-of-a-kind, beautiful art, including the largest collection of British Folk Art in the UK, and one of the richest collections of Neapolitan artwork outside of Naples. Couples celebrating at Compton Verney can immerse themselves in the rich history and breath-taking artefacts on display, with art as the centre-piece of your day.
