From historical architecture and landscape, to world class art and sculpture, accompanied by delicious food and drink options, Compton Verney is a truly unique venue for your dream wedding.

Read on to hear just five of the many reasons why you should choose Compton Verney for your wedding day.

Capability Brown’s Landscape

Designed by the most famous figure in the history of English landscape gardening, our Capability Brown landscape features 120 acres of ancient trees, woodlands and wildflower meadows.

Our seemingly endless countryside provides an idyllic hideaway, and a beautiful backdrop for your photos.

You can even host your civil ceremony outside, surrounded by nature and the sounds of the local wildlife.

Art

As an art gallery first and foremost, Compton Verney is full of beautiful art, both historical and contemporary.

From the largest collection of British Folk Art in the UK to a portrait of Henry VIII, loans from the National Portrait Gallery and ground-breaking exhibitions that feature an array of rich artefacts.

You can become part of the art, the history, and the romance of Compton Verney and even enjoy your wedding breakfast surrounded by scenes from the Golden Age of Neapolitan art.

Architecture

From the neo-classical hall designed by Robert Adam to the sympathetically built Capability Brown Chapel, every inch of the estate is draped in grandeur.

The neutral and calming colours of our architecture makes the ideal backdrop for your colour scheme and themes to really stand out.
