Compton Verney Dementia Friendly Café Tuesdays

Take part in our monthly café for those living with, or supporting someone with Dementia. Our Dementia Cafes offer tea and coffee, a chat, friendship with others in the same situation, while joining in with fun, creative activities. *

Hosted in association with Talk Dementia

First Tuesday of the Month, at 10.30am – 12.30pm

5 April – Inspired by Compton Verney’s China collection of bronze vessels, we will explore metals and try our hand at embossing on foil to make greetings cards.

3 May – Inspired by Morag Myerscough’s Village, we will create a collage using bold colours, shapes for a window hanging or bookmark.

7 June – Using the Tudor collection and portrait exhibition as inspiration, we will be drawing portraits, collaging or colouring in faces and portraits.

5 July – Inspired by plants and the beautiful nature within the grounds, we will be tracing, rubbing and pressing leaves, flowers.

To attend the Dementia Friendly Café, you will need a valid day ticket or membership.

Essential carers are FREE when accompanying the person they care for.

No advance booking is required.

*Please note that these cafés are for people who can attend safely on their own or are accompanied by someone to support them. There is no provision of direct medical support here for people living with Dementia.
