As part of the preparation for our 20 years celebrations we will have to have a brief period of partial closure, from Tuesday 5 – Wednesday 20 March when the house (including the shop and café) will be closed to the public. Our grounds will remain open. To find out more, please visit our opening times and prices page to find out more.

#SummerOfPlay  #FunFriendsFreedom

#SummerOfPlay is a campaign to give children the space, time, and freedom to play this summer as the Covid-19 restrictions are eased. After everything children have been through over the last year, we are calling on organisations to sign the pledge to support children’s play this summer.

How do we define what ‘playing’ actually means?

We have been developing new strategies for visitors of all ages to interact with our site and get more involved in how our outdoor spaces could be used.

Make Space for Girls came to site and facilitated 23 Girl Guides responding to our site and feeding back to us how they  would like to interact with our site.

Make Space for Girls campaigns for facilities and public spaces for teenage girls.

We are rethinking our play provision and you are invited to help shape our #summerofplay.

Our new 355 piece imagination playground invites all ages to build their own structures, seating, stepping stone and balance trails and create new and ever changing places to explore and be within our site.

Suitable for children ages 2 and up.
