Luminarium

From 1-6 August, Luminarium is coming to Compton Verney! A 40+ meter wide immersive installation filled with dazzling domes, tunnels and columns that you can walk through and explore. It has been to Madrid, Sydney, Barcelona, Los Angeles and is now coming to Compton Verney for the first time. Pre-booking is advised; book here.

After Hours

Following an unbelievable event in May 2023 which featured live 90s club music played by a New Orleans Second Line combined with Morris Dancing, and more, After Hours is returning for another unforgettable night! Join Compton Verney on Friday 6 August from 6-9pm, when the galleries are normally closed, for a unique event including an animal explorers’ workshop, Luminarium, live poetry, women’s choir and more! Find out more and book here.

Birds of America

From 1 July, Compton Verney will be the first gallery to host the brand-new Birds of America exhibition as it begins its tour from National Museums Scotland. The exhibition, of one of the world’s rarest, most coveted and – at almost 1-metre in height – largest books, will feature 46 intricate prints from the book, rarely seen unbound. As well as letters, books, manuscripts, films and audio. Find out more here.

There’re many more unusual activities to enjoy at Compton Verney over the Summer that include Archaeological Secrets and Bats! Visit the What’s On page on the Compton Verney website to discover more.
