Planning to visit us this week? Here’s some tips to help you enjoy your visit during the heatwave

  • If you’d like to avoid the peak temperatures, we’ll be open from 10am – 5pm, Wed 24 – Sun 28 Jun
  • The shuttle bus will be running throughout the week, going between the Welcome Centre and the galleries/café
  • The galleries are climate-controlled, take your time exploring the art collections and exhibitions in the cool
  • The woodland area by the lake provides plenty of shade 
  • You can top up your water with our free water station in the café
  • Cold drinks and ice creams can be purchased at both the Welcome Centre and café

There are so many ways to connect with nature at Compton Verney.

 

Walk along our trails and immerse yourself in the wildlife of the Ice House Coppice, or take a wander around our meadows.

Be surprised and delighted by our Sculpture in the Park.

Head to the Sensory Dye Garden and see the display of flowers, herbs and fruit. Discover the surprising plants that can be used to dye your clothes .

Spot birds on the lake from our bird hide.

Swing by the bee hives on the West Lawn and play in the sandpit.

Bring your own nets and pop by the pond dipping platform.

Climb, swing and zip through the air at our Woodland Playground.

Take a moment of peace in the ‘Capability’ Brown designed Chapel.
