Tree Climbing

A quick post to thank everyone who helped make the tree climbing activity a success today at Compton Verney. A beautiful sunny day from the outset, and it was wonderful to see folks enjoying this very different aspect of the grounds.

We were joined on site by The Great Big Tree Climbing Company who managed the sessions perfectly, and the chosen tree was carefully selected not only for its strength and location, but also for its branch network that perfectly suited the activity.

The vista from high up among the branches was stunning, although the climbers were quite focused on the job in hand. However, judging by the smiles on faces; the activity was certainly an enjoyable one!

The response to the tree climbing activity has been quite surprising, and although spaces quickly booked up, we’ll certainly be considering running more sessions in future – it is such a great way to see the world differently – from high up among the branches…
