Woodland Tribe’s vision is to make adventure play a universal and popular culture.

How long are the sessions?

The sessions are 90 minutes. Session times are:
10am – 11.30am
11.30am – 1pm
2pm – 3.30pm
3.30pm – 5pm
We have found from experience that 90 minutes is just about the right length of time for a child or family, But some families like to book two sessions together.

What is the best age range?

Woodland Tribe is for all ages from 3-83. Children aged 6-12 seem to have the most fun but younger and older children also enjoy the activity. We let parents decide whether their children are old/young enough for Woodland Tribe.

Do children need to be accompanied by an adult?

Yes. Children must be accompanied by an adult. An adult can accompany up to 3 children. Adults can join in the building (most do) or sit and watch at a supportive distance.

Is it safe for children to use tools?

Children are very careful when given the responsibility of using tools. They are also good at making their own risk assessments and understanding their own capabilities. Children are supervised by parents and skilled Woodland Tribe staff who have developed a distinct risk/benefit methodology for this activity.

Who are Woodland Tribe?

Woodland Tribe are a not for profit company promoting adventure play all over the UK from Cornwall to Edinburgh and Manchester to Kent. The company started 7 years ago at Shambala festival and have become firm family favourites on the festival circuit, art galleries, schools and communities.
