History in the Making

History in the making is an exciting opportunity to learn about materials and methods of making across several centuries.  You will be led through each gallery that will display six different material groups – wood, stone, clay, metal, textile, and exciting new work by makers at who are developing new materials and ways of working that are environmentally friendly and sustainable, learning about the properties of each material and its suitability. You will take part in a variety of problem solving and discovery activities and make your very own product using SMART materials.
