Our key priorities

Compton Verney is an independent charity showcasing six permanent collections and a programme of special exhibitions and events exploring art, heritage and nature. A nationally-accredited art gallery set in 120 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown parkland and attracting over 90,000 visitors a year, Compton Verney has come a long way since opening in 2004.

We welcome a diverse audience from pre-schoolers through to those attending our Dementia café and ranging from forest school foragers to art aficionados. Our mission is to ensure that Compton Verney is a place where everybody can enjoy art and nature and everybody is welcome.

We need your help to ensure that we can continue to present art of the highest calibre, preserve our outstanding buildings and landscape for the future and provide inspiring outreach and learning programmes to our community.

To this end, we have created the Four Pillar Funds identifying the four major areas where your donations can make a real difference:

  • The Exhibition Fund – to provide an on-going and outstanding art programme
  • The Adam Fund – to preserve and restore our built heritage
  • The Inspire Fund – to create exceptional art education and outreach
  • The Capability Fund – to enhance and protect our historic landscape

If you would like to discuss how you can support any of these funds, please contact Ali James, ali.james@comptonverney.org.uk
