On this practical two day course, you will use traditional wood carving and hand tool skills to carve a relief in lime wood under our beautiful lime trees in our grounds. No previous experience is required; you will be able to work at your own pace on a range of potential projects suitable for different experience levels.
Stage by stage instructions and demonstrations will guide you through every element of the process towards a high-quality finished carving.
Geraint Lloyd will lead the workshop, with 25 years’ experience working in both a commercial setting, carving architectural and sculptural pieces together with teaching at multiple venues up and down the country during that time. Geraint is a fully qualified teacher with a PGCE qualification.
£120 per person for the two day workshop, including entry to the collections, exhibitions and grounds.
All tools, materials and equipment are provided.
