Magnum Photos mission is to “feel the pulse” of the times. Magnum Photo’s uses photography in the service of humanity, and to provide arresting and often widely viewed images. We have invited you to take on the role of the Magnum photographer. Please take a photograph which relates to your world today and relate it to one of the following themes:

By sending your photograph(s) you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

There is no entry fee for submission of photograph(s) and this is not a competition. There will not be any prizes awarded, nor winners announced.

Please send your photograph(s) to: thisisus@comptonverney.org.uk

Photograph(s) from both digital cameras and smartphones should be submitted as a .jpeg file. The maximum file size we can receive is 2MB. We regret that we are unable to accept postal entries, or to return any that are sent to us.

Please include a title for each photograph entered (no more than 10 words), and the name and age of the photographer. These are not compulsory if you wish to remain anonymous.

If you would like your photograph(s) to be displayed in our galleries in time for the opening of the exhibition on Saturday 12 October 2019, please submit by Sunday 29 September 2019. We will continue to accept submissions until Sunday 1 December 2019, and will add to the display until Sunday 15 December 2019, when all images will be removed.

We are unable to display all photographs submitted, and Compton Verney Art Gallery & Park reserves the right to reject any submissions for any reason at its sole discretion. Obscene or inappropriate submissions will absolutely not be accepted.

Entrants must ensure that the photographs they are submitting are their own work, that they own the copyright for them and that they do not infringe the copyright or other rights of any third party or any laws.

It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit have been taken with the consent of anyone who is identifiable in that image or the consent of their parent/guardian if they are under 16 and that they have been advised of the purpose of the submission and that their photograph may be displayed at Compton Verney.

All entrants hereby license Compton Verney Art Gallery & Park to use their submission to print and display in its galleries, or on any Compton Verney Art Gallery & Park-owned, or third-party website, or other media, or social media, for publicity purposes and agree to the waiver of their moral rights in respect of the same. Where possible we will endeavour to credit the photographer.

Compton Verney Art Gallery & Park is committed to protecting the privacy and security of the entrant’s personal information in accordance with data protection law. The personal information provided by the entrant shall only be collected, stored and used to the extent that the law allows it to be. Most commonly, Compton Verney Art Gallery and Park will use this information to ensure that it is able to comply with its obligations under this Agreement.
