Compton Verney curator Oli McCall will be joined by Masterji’s daughter, artist Tarla Patel, photographer Anand Chhabra, artist and academic Jagdish Patel and sociologist Nirmal Puwar for a discussion which will reflect on Masterji’s importance as one of the first Indian photographers to work in the UK. During the course of the discussion the panellists will consider Masterji’s skill as a portrait photographer and the relevance of the Masterji archive for present and future generations. At the end of the discussion there will be an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about Masterji. Please read the speaker biographies for further information on each of the panellists.
