Meet Lucy and Bill better known as artists Leap then Look, they’ll be delivering a drop-in workshop for families, which explores colour, movement, pattern and shape in and around Morag Myerscough’s The Village, using the structure as a space for collective art making and play.
Leap Then Look create art works, participatory projects, workshops and events for people of all ages and abilities with a focus on collaboration, play and experimentation.
Compton Verney are developing a PLAY strategy to learning and engagement across the whole site, for all ages and abilities. Leap then Look have been working with the team to explore ideas and this workshop is just one of them!
This is a drop-in activity and may be busy during times, you may need to be patient and help us to maintain a safe environment for all. If we are at full capacity when you arrive, don’t worry we have plenty of other options for families on site.
Leap Then Look create art works, participatory projects, workshops and events for people of all ages and abilities. Their focus is on working together, inspiring playfulness, inquisitiveness and experimentation. They use exciting and unconventional approaches, including object making, performance, installation, film, and photography, enabling our participants to engage in multiple processes, creating their own work. Leap then Look believe that contemporary art practice should and can be made available and accessible to everyone and that we can all benefit from engaging with new ways of looking, making and thinking.
