To celebrate world knitting day you can join in with our ongoing knitting activity. We would like you to make knitted or croqueted squares, that we will use to cover trees in our park. The squares can be any size.
Knit them at home or during your visit. We will have baskets of needles and wool available in our public areas for you to have a go, share your skills or learn new ones from each other. Instructions will be provided.
Leave your completed or started squares in our baskets. You can do this anytime or as part of our pop-up outdoor ‘Pic-Knits’.
At the end of the Compton Verney yarn bomb display, your squares will be used to make blankets for communities in Africa, in collaboration with Goodwill And Growth For Africa (GAGA), a charity that generates growth for African children and communities devastated by HIV-AIDS and poverty.
