David Batchelor: Colour Is Artist and Curator’s Tour and Tea

Join artist David Batchelor and Curator Oli McCall for a special tour of our summer exhibition David Batchelor: Colour Is.

David Batchelor: Colour Is is the first large-scale survey show of Batchelor’s work to date, bringing together a dazzling array of work made over a period of more than 40 years. For much of this time, Batchelor has been primarily interested in colour, delighting in the brilliant hues of urban environments, and the artistic potential of everyday objects. The exhibition includes sculpture, installation, animation, painting, drawing and photography, and several of the works are on public display for the first time.

This special tour will give you the chance to hear about Batchelor’s career first-hand, as he shares his personal reflections about his work and sources of inspiration. The tour will last around one hour, after which you will have the chance to indulge in delicious cake and a hot drink of your choice in our restaurant.
