Time for Tree Climbing!

Fancy trying tree climbing during the summer holidays? Well, not tree climbing in the traditional sense, but with trained climbers, using ropes and harness? Then do read on!

THE GREAT BIG TREE CLIMBING COMPANY  are returning to Compton Verney next Wednesday to manage a day full of tree climbing. Six individuals at a time are given simple tuition in the techniques that make tree climbing about as easy as it can get. Admittedly, you will need a head for heights, but you’ll be supervised and well cared for throughout. 

The tree itself is a notable example, a London Plane tree overlooking the stunning west front of Compton Verney. It is a solid veteran tree with a perfect branch network, where climbers head up to a specific place and then, if willing; can zip wire back down for an added blast of adrenalin!

Feedback from the last session was really positive, with happy faces all-round, we were therefore encouraged to run more sessions this year. I personally feel it is a great and unique way to explore a very different part of Compton Verney, and I’d thoroughly recommend it!
