October Half Term

Join us for a half term of outdoor activities: lantern making, fireside storytelling, rocket launching and moon gazing.

Lantern Making

Get creative with a variety of resources and inspirations to decorate a lantern to take home with you to brighten up the darkening evenings. A great activity for everyone in your group to try! Who will be the master of design?

10.30am – 11.15am

1.30pm – 2.15pm
2.30pm – 3.15pm

£5 per participant. Suitable for children aged 3+
Please note, accompanying adults will need a valid Membership Pass or Grounds Day Pass.

Places are limited due to social distancing requirements.
This activity takes place outdoors in our grounds. An indoor wet weather option will be available if conditions aren’t suitable.

Pumpkin Trail

We’ve hidden 10 decorated pumpkins around the Park. Pick up a map from our Welcome Centre when you arrive and see how many you can find!

£2 per trail

Storytelling at Forest School – SOLD OUT
Thu 29 Oct

Meet our storyteller at the Forest School where she will weave her magic, sharing stories and myths of the moon. Join her in an interactive session around the fire to celebrate the changing season. Where there is a fire there must surely be a marshmallow!

1pm – 2pm
2.30pm – 3.30pm

£8 per child/adult. Under 2’s FREE. Recommended for children aged 4+

Forest Saturday Club – SOLD OUT
Sat 31 Oct

Enjoy exploring the Forest School, fresh air and feeling the dirt! Get stuck into the digging pit, mixing mud for painting and cooking in the mud kitchen. Look out for mini beasts in the deadwood piles, find natural resources to build mini dens and create nature crafts.

10.30am – 12.30pm & 1.30pm – 12.30pm

£7 per child. Suitable for children aged 2 – 8.

Rocket Launching with Kineton Stem
Tue 27 & Fri 30 Oct

Make a rocket with the STEM Team , including a special message, a poem or a letter of thanks. Launch it as far across the lawn as you can!

11am – 11.45am
12pm – 12.45pm
1.30pm – 2.15pm
2.30pm – 3.15pm

FREE with admission. Sign up with the STEM team for this activity when you arrive, they will be based at the South Lawn.
Suitable for children aged 5 +

We have restricted capacity to these sessions to allow for social distancing and as much of a relaxed experience as possible. In order to give as many children the opportunity to take part we ask that you limit the number of accompanying adults to 1 per child.
