Why do we involve Volunteers?
We’re heading into a new phase of our development at Compton Verney. As part of our Heritage Lottery Fund project we are looking towards restoring and re-purposing our ‘Capability’ Brown Landscape and introducing a new programme of activities and events. Using our landscape as a platform we’ll be able to bring together a range of interests for our visitors, such as art, architecture, history and ecology. Volunteer support is vital for us as this support enables us to engage with the public and broaden our range of services.
Why Volunteer at Compton Verney?
As a registered charity, we have limited resources but our ambitions and standards are high. We offer a unique working environment and a variety of roles across the organisation that supports us in achieving our aims. We’re a relatively small but friendly and supportive team, with people from lots of different backgrounds and interests. Many of our volunteer roles involve working with the public, so if you love talking to people and fancy giving us a hand, we’d love to have you on board.

What happens next?
We’ll read through your form and if you meet the role criteria we will contact your referees. Once we’ve received your references we’ll call you to arrange an interview.
If that all works out we’ll invite you to an induction day where we’ll go through all there is to know about Compton Verney. Then just turn up on you first agreed date and we’ll get you started. Simple!
