Compton Verney’s Adopt an Artwork scheme give you a unique opportunity to make a difference that lasts for years. Celebrate any occasion such as a birth, marriage, anniversary, retirement or birthday, or commemorate someone special.
The Adopt an Artwork scheme at Compton Verney enables you to adopt an artwork from one of our six stunning collections of art from around the world to help safeguard them for future generations to enjoy. Our prices start at £10, and all artworks in our permanent collection are available for adoption (excluding those on loan). This includes paintings by Joshua Reynolds, Canaletto and Lucas Cranach the Elder; magnificent ancient Chinese bronzes; unique Folk Art pieces including a tray by Alfred Wallis and a variety of unusual shop signs and original fabrics by textile designer Enid Marx.
Each artwork can only be adopted once so will remain special to you. To thank you for your donation, we will acknowledge your adoption in the gallery space, with ‘Adopted for…’ and the name(s) you supply on the application form.
You will also receive an artwork adoption certificate and information relating to your chosen artwork. Further benefits may also be discussed for gifts over £1,000.
