Leave a Gift in Your Will

By leaving a gift in your Will, you help to ensure that something you love carries on for generations to come.

Since we can’t predict what opportunities and challenges we will face in the future, a gift given in general to the gallery can often be the most useful.

Charitable legacies can, of course, be beneficial from an estate tax standpoint and as a registered charity, a gift to Compton Verney can be helpful in this regard.

In all cases, please consult a solicitor when making your Will.

There are many forms your legacy can take including:

  • A pecuniary legacy when you leave a specific sum
  • A specific legacy when you leave property or an asset that can be sold to benefit the gallery (please discuss with us so we understand your wishes),
  • A residuary legacy when you leave part, or all, of your estate after debts, funeral cost and pecuniary gifts are paid
  • A contingent legacy when your gift goes to the gallery only if another event has happened such as another beneficiary dies before you do.

Please leave your gift to: Compton Verney House Trust, Compton Verney, Warwickshire, CV35 9HZ. Registered charity number 1032478.

If you’d like to talk about how your gift can create a lasting memorial or discuss a specific project you’d like to support, please contact:
